The Triumphant Woman (Church), by Deaconess Adebisi Olobaniyi

Triumphant: having won a battle or contest. Victorious, successful, winning.
Jesus paid the ultimate price for you and for me, he died for all mankind. Romans 5:8 KJV – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
It behoves on us to say do we need to keep fighting? Yes, but we know the end.
2 Corinthians 4:4-18
2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 KJV [17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

What are we fighting?

Ephesians 6:12 KJV – [12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

It’s a spiritual battle of the mind, soul and spirit. A lot of things are fighting for our attention. Trying to take away our peace. As women, we have to be strong for our loved ones. Our husbands need us for encouragement, our children need us for direction, to say no sometimes. Let it not be all about Matter, but chose the right thing like Mary.

Who are we fighting? i.e the opponent.

John 10:10 KJV [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
He comes in different forms as a headache, backache, child ache, teen ache, car ache, money ache, etc. Some battles are good for us outrightly, but ultimately all battles are walking for our good. Which is good? Exam ache, labour ache, work ache, team leader ache. They all lead to our promotion if we endure.

Characteristics of a triumphant church
Matthew 11:12 KJV – [12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

1. Watch and pray. Prayer is the key.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV – [17] Pray without ceasing.

It’s a church that prays. Not occasionally but in season and out of season
Luke 21:36 KJV [36] Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

2. Preach the good news.
2 Timothy 4:2 KJV [2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3. Learn to thank your maker.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV [18] In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

What is the reward? i.e Benefit
1. Eternal life in Jesus
James 1:12 KJV [12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Matthew 10:22 KJV – [22] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
2. Riches and honour
1 Chronicles 29:12 KJV [12] Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
3. Help
Genesis 49:25 KJV [25] Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
