The God Of Restoration, by Pastor Victor Olobaniyi
Texts :Job 1:1 – 22; 42:10 – 13, Psalm 126:1 – 6.
We mentioned last Sunday that David recovered all that he lost to the enemies from our text of 1 Sam 30, and I went further to say that as for me I will not only recover all but it is going to be restoration with interest.
Today we shall be considering an unusual man in the Bible called Job.
The testimony of God about Job was very challenging.
Verse 1 of the book of Job recorded that Job was a perfect and upright man, who feared God and eschewed evil. This was the personal testimony of God about Job in verse 8 when He was talking to Satan.
In verse 3 we read about the possession of Job and that Job was the greatest of all men in the east, tragically, Job lost all possessions in one day, including his ten children.
The news of the loss came to him one after the other, from verse 13 – 19.
Personally I find it difficult to digest what Job did in verse 20. After all news came we were told that he shaved his head, and fell down on the ground, and worshipped.
His statements in verses 21 and 22 challenged me, and posed the question “Who are we living for?” to us.
After the trials Job got double of what he lost – Job 42:10 and gracefully enjoyed them before his death and the bible recorded he was full of age in verses 16 and 17.
My question to us this morning is that what is the testimony of God about you to believers, talk less of the devil?
Can God be proud and boast of us?
Job 8:7. Father I will not die young and I will not die small in Jesus name.
Job 14 :7 – 9, Daddy because you have sent your word this month again, every stagnant situation of my life begin to experience progression, recovery and restoration in Jesus name.
Job 42:16 – 17, Daddy I decree by your mercy, I will finish well and I will finish strong in Jesus name.
Continue to enjoy your recoveries and restorations in Jesus name.
