Practical Manifestations of Divine Liberty, by Minister Yomi Sanusi
Scripture: Matthew 28.18, 1 Cor 6.20, Eph 4.7-14 and Psalm 23
We thank God for how he has been dealing with us lately, especially as we contemplate the Divine Liberty we have been promised directly from His mouth this month. This exhortation will be brief, and should encourage the congregation to spend some time in prayer for the manifestation of the liberty we have been promised, and continue to enjoy individually as a collective.
Living in and exercising Divine Liberty has its basis in the work of Christ, done at Calvary. There he earned not only our Salvation, but also in addition the Freedom we are entitled to enjoy in Him as the newness of life take over, he also earned the Power to back up that Freedom and Liberty.
It is prudent to understand and acknowledge that power is needed to back up freedom. Even in the affairs of men, government and in politics. You cannot have independence, freedom and entitlements unless there is an arrangement for such to be bolstered by an authority, an understanding, a valid arrangement or unquestionable power.
The Power that backs up our Liberty comes directly from God. Jesus proclaimed in triumph that all power in heaven and in earth are given unto, and so belong to Him. As His most prized possessions, friends, family it is His determination to make us of every aspect of that power to our advantage. The most potent power ever imaginable is also the assurance backing up our Liberty!
Let us pray now for the practical manifestation of the Liberty God has promised and given to us.
Prayer point: Psalm 23
