May God Show You Kindness, by Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia Obafaiye

The theme of the month of is God’s kindness.
I looked up the meaning of kindness and I came up with some very interesting words, it means “being considerate, a helpful act, being friendly, showing pure love, gentleness, sweetness, being generous and hospitable”.
According to Galatians 5:22, Kindness is a fruit of the Spirit, so kindness is a nature and essence of God.
Psalm 100:5 tells us that The Lord is good, and His mercy (the New American Standard Bible says His loving kindness) endures forever, it has no end because God is God and He cannot deny Himself.
Psalm 117:2 (NASB) says For His loving kindness is great towards us. Read More

May God’s kindness never depart from you

By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye,
Kindness as a word can be substituted for words like: compassion, goodness, pity, mercy, love, grace, favour, gentleness, tenderness, favour, etc. It is an attribute of God that we need to desire.

As Christians it is the kindness of God that saved us.
John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
That special kindness will preserve all of us till we see God in glory in Jesus name.

Kindness has the power to brighten up a dejected spirit; it can rescue a doomed life and it can resuscitate a lost hope.

Divine kindness is by far impactful. It will distinguish the life of anyone remarkably. It will turn an ordinary life to a life of extraordinary. A life that was hopeless will be turn to a life not only full of hope, but a life that gives others hope.

In John 8:1-11, the story of the woman caught in adultery is an example of a life that experienced God’s kindness. Though Jesus did not condone her sin, but yet rescued her from imminent death and instructed her not to sin again.

There is someone here, you are being accused of something you have done wrong, and the accusation could either be by people or demons. I bring good news for that fellow, God says you are forgiven.
No power will truncate your destiny in Jesus name.
You will not receive stones from any accuser in Jesus name.
You will live to declare the goodness of God in Jesus name.
But go and sin no more. I pray for the willingness and grace not to fall into sin to come upon you in Jesus name.

In Jonah 1:1-3, God told Jonah to go and preached to the citizens of Nineveh to repent of their sins. Jonah however boarded a ship and went to Tashishi. God sent storm to the ship on its way to Tashishi and trouble it greatly. Jonah was eventually thrown into the sea and could have perished, but God shown him His kindness. God command a great fish to swallow up Jonah and did not allow him to be digested; after he repented in the belly of the fish, Jonah was brought ashore.
If there is anyone here that has missed the perfect will of God for their life, may the special kindness of God redirect your steps in Jesus name. May the special kindness of God lead you to your Nineveh in Jesus name.

David declared that God doesn’t always chide, rather He is compassionate and kind (Psalm 103:8-9).
David fell big time regarding the issue of Bathsheba and Uriah. He tried to continue life as normal, which would have been dangerous for him, as the blood of Uriah was crying for vengeance. God through His kindness arranged Prophet Nathan to bring David to repentance. David’s grievous sins were pardoned and his reign continued.
By the grace of God, no Bathsheba will ruin your destiny.
You will not be involved in any mess or scandal in Jesus name.
The blood of no one will be required from you in Jesus name.
Your reign will not be discontinued.
Throughout your lifetime, if you ever make any mistake, may God prompt you Himself to ask for forgiveness, so you may be forgiven in Jesus name.

It was the kindness of God that changed the life of Saul of Tarsus to Apostle Paul. From a persecutor of Jesus to a disciple of His. From being a chief sinner to a worthy saint. From ignorance to great wisdom. From a murderer to a life saver.
May the kindness of God transform your life from whatever you are now to the very best you can be in Jesus name.

It is not only God that should show kindness. As children of God, we must reciprocate the kindness of people. Jonathan was a very good friend of David. He showed great kindness to him, especially when his father – King Saul was seeking to slay him. Later on, when David became settled as a king, he sought for people who are related to Jonathan that he could show the kindness of God (2 Sam. 9:1-13).
Has someone showed you or your family before? Seek such family out and render kindness to them.

The Israelites did the same for Rehab of Jericho. Rehab hid the two spies sent by Joshua to Jericho and let them escaped secretly. The spies made an oath of kindness with Rehab which Joshua was bound to honour when they destroyed Jericho. While the whole of Jericho was destroyed, Rehab house and family were preserved.
May God preserve you and your family with His special kindness.

Furthermore, God also expects us to even show kindness to those who have been unkind to us. Joseph was treated very badly by his blood brothers. He was to be killed before he was sold to slavery. He later became a Prime Minister in Egypt at a time when the Israelites were less than 100 people. He did not use his powers to punish and revenge his brothers’ unkindness to him, but showed them Divine kindness.
May God grant us the grace to grant uncommon kindness to the unkind in Jesus name.

We must not be too busy or preoccupied to show kindness.
In Luke 8:40-56, Jesus was on the way going somewhere else, He was however accosted by Jairus to show him kindness. Jesus abandoned his prior agenda and followed. On the way to Jairus house, He was yet accosted by the woman with the issue of blood, Jesus still extend His kindness to her. May God grant us the heart of kindness in Jesus name.

Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering;

Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

– God has shown His special kindness to this Parish in the last two years. He will show you more….

Prayers – some things that can attack a believer: fear, affliction, trouble, error.
Father, Let your kindness deliver me from any fear – Jacob on the way to Haran (evil of desert and night, Esau, Laban, of never to come back, never to see loved ones).
Father, Let your kindness deliver me from any programmed affliction – Israelites in Egypt
Father, Let your kindness deliver me from present or impending trouble – the Man at the Pool of Bethesda.
Father, Let your kindness deliver me from error – Moses

Trust in God

By Pastor (Mrs) Eunice Kudehinbu ——
Text: Psalm 25:1-7

Introduction: To put God first is to rely on Him absolutely for help at all times. It is totally depending on God at all time and situation. To us, He may ‘tarry’ in bringing His help, but He is always on time. He is able to give you your good expectations. Proverb 23:18, – “For surely there is an end, and thine expectation shall not be cut off”.

I) To guarantees peace Isaiah 26:3 – “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusted in thee”.
2) Continual enjoyment of His goodness and provision. Psalm 31:19 – “Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for the that trust in thee before the sons of men”

3) Only God can provide safety. Proverb 29:25 – “The fear of man bringeth a snare, but whoso put teeth his trust in the LORD shall be safe”.
4) The arm of flesh shall fail. Psalm 39:5
5) God can do all things. Jeremiah 32:27 – Behold, I am the LORRD, the God off all flesh, is there anything too hard for me?
6) He is a source of everlasting strength.

If you Trust in God then you must do the following:
1) Resist the devil and evil counsels, Psalm 1:1-2 – “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the LORD and in his law doth he meditate day and night”.

2) Humble yourself, 1 Peter 5:6 – “Humble ourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time”
3) You must know the promise of God meditate on them and confess them, 2 Peter 1:3-4, 2 Corinthians 1:20, – For all the promises of God in him are yea and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
4) Take time to pray. Isaiah 65:24, Matthew 6:6, Isaiah 65:24 – And it shall come to pass that before they call, l will answer, and while they are yet speaking, l will hear. Mathew 6:6 – But thou, when thou pray east, enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is I’m secret and thy Father which seeth I’m secret shall reward thee openly in Jesus Name Amen.

CONCLUSION: Brethren, any trust in any man is a trust in vanity, psalm30:5 – for his anger endure the but a moment, in his Favour is life, weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. If we delight ourselves in The Lord, He will give us d desires of our hearts. Psalm 37:4 – Delight thyself also in the LORD, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart in Jesus name Amen.

1. Father, continue to let me put my trust in you forever.

2. Oh Lord, I pray in the remaining Months of this Year give me a strong reason to celebrate.

3. Father, increase my greatness and comfort me on every side in Jesus name.

Wonderful Testimonies – Your testimony is here in Jesus name

By Pastor (Mrs) Eunice Kudehinbu,
Our God is a miracle worker. He does as He pleases. The scripture we read in the book of Luke 8:43-48 shows how powerful our God is. He made the blood that was flowing for 12 years to stop in just one day. He is a good God, and the God of testimony.
In Daniel 3:26-36, Nebuchadnezzar was put to shame in the presence of people. He thought his man-made power could allow him to do whatever he wanted, but God failed him, and he was put to shame. The outcome was the promotion that was enjoyed by the three Hebrew boys. The testimony is still being shared all over the word today. This month, someone here shall be promoted, and, they would share their testimony soon in Jesus name.
There’s nothing God cannot do. He can change your situation. The Lord spoke the word of healing into the life of a man who had an infirmity for the previous 38 years. The man sat constantly by the pool of Bethesda daily, hoping that one day, someone would help him to enter into the pool, years after years, he remained the same, and at the same spot, until the Lord brought testimony to his life. The Lord will make you laugh this month in Jesus name. He who laugh last, laugh best, the Lord will give you the best laughter over your situation in Jesus name.
Why does God allow testimonies?
To make people appreciate God’s intervention: In Gen 21:2-3, through the intervention of God, the case of Sarah and Abraham became a wonderful testimony. They became parents in their old age. It shows how much God can do regardless of age and time.

To prove God’s spiritual strength: It is not by power, and not by might, but God has all the power in His custody. God can grant you testimony to show His power and strength, and, to show that no amount of strength can withstand that of God (Psalm 2:4; Psalm 37:12-13).
To teach us some important lessons: (Psalm 20:7) In whatever you may be experiencing, the Lord will give you victory over that situation. The Lord would give you breakthrough in all areas of life, and He will show you the plans He has for you in Jesus name.
To establish a believer, for them to exact all His power: Sometimes it would look as if something would not come to pass, but by the power of the most high. You will be established and you’ll not be derailed in Jesus name, the Lord will exact his power in your life in Jesus name.

To establish our faith: Another reason why God can grant testimony is to establish our faith (Mark 5:27-30).To strengthen you, and to make sure that, when situation comes confronting you, your faith will stand. Whatever may be waging war against your progress, the fire of the Lord will burn them into ashes (Daniel 3:16-17).

1. Let the joy of the enemy upon the progress of my life be turned into sorrow in Jesus name.
2. Father, let the anointing of Overcomer fall upon me and my neighbor in Jesus name.
4. Father, make me and my neighbor a Channel of your blessings in Jesus name.
5. Father, revive my spiritual life in Jesus name.
Isaiah 49:15-16
Say to yourself:
Thank you Father for having me in constant remembrance
Ps 46:1- God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He is present in times of trouble; He will never abandon you in Jesus name
I pray that whenever you call upon the name of The Lord in times of trouble, He will answer in Jesus name. No matter what you are going through, just hold onto Jesus and He will see you through in Jesus name.

Contending with Forces Against Your Being Lifted Up

Minister: Pastor Sunday Oloyede
John 12:32; Eph 2: 6; Ps 114:7

To be lifted up means to be in position of influence, advantage (by reason of height), authority, dominion and to be elevated. Jesus operates in this exalted position and the will of God is also for every believer to co-occupy this same exalted position with Jesus according to Eph 2:6 …. seated with Him in heavenly places far above principalities and power.
For Jesus to be high and lifted up, He contended with some forces. In this message, we shall be examining these forces and learn how He overcame them as follows:
1. Satan: The first force or person Jesus had to contend it was Satan. Reading through the bible, we discover that Satan launched major attacks on Jesus during two principal phases of His life: The first one was his attempt (through King Herod) to kill him at birth when he discovered He was going to be a shining star (Matt 2: 16-18 ); and the second phase of attack was when Jesus went to the wilderness to fast and pray having ‘discovered his purpose in life’ (Matt 4:1-11). It will interest you to know that Satan didn’t bother much about Jesus when he was working as a carpenter up till age 30. The truth is that Satan doesn’t bother much with failures or mediocre in life. Satan only feels threatened and launches attack on someone when he discovers your future is bright or the day you discover and start to fulfil your purpose in life. I am happy to announce to you that Satan failed in his first phase of attack on you because he couldn’t kill you at birth. If you are experiencing serious attacks from Satan now, it probably may be because you have recently discovered your purpose in life and Satan wants to derail you. He will not succeed in Jesus name. How did Jesus overcome Satan?
A. By living a life of holiness (John 14:30, Rom 6: 1; Heb 12:14)
B. By using the scriptures (refer to Matt 4:1-11)
C. Not being ignorant of the devices of Satan as he tries to outwit you (2 Cor 2: 11). The principal way is to repent from committing sins, restitute your ways and live a holy life (Is 55:7). Can you honestly declare as Jesus did that ‘the prince of this world has found nothing in my hands?’
2. Environment: The second force is being mindful of your environment. As a wise man said, your location determines your allocation in life’ There are so many people who are not fulfilling their purpose in life due to wrong location. If you trace the life of Jesus, you will notice that he was mindful of where he lived, otherwise He would have died untimely. He was born in Bethlehem, his parents moved him to Egypt so that he wasn’t killed, he came back to live in Nazareth, most of his ministrations were in Capernaum and He only visited Jerusalem occasionally when necessary to avoid being killed. When it was time for him to die, he set his face go to Jerusalem and this was very significant (because that’s where Prophets die- Luke 13: 33). I need to inform you that there are specific locations under heavens where you are destined to experience maximum fulfilment of your potentials. If you are outside these divine locations, your success will be limited because it will mainly be by your personal abilities and the mercy of God. There are examples of people in the bible whose location affected their destinies:
A. Elimelech (Ruth 1:1)-Relocated to Moab without seeking God’s face and dies untimely
B. Lot (Gen 13: 5-18 ) Chose location by sight and was almost consumed with Sodom and Gomorrah if not for God’s mercies
C. Isaac: Almost relocated because of famine in the land but because he hearkened to the voice of God, he prospered during austerity (Gen 26)
So we need to understand that our location should not be determined by
1. Physical eyes (like Lot)
2. Economic condition (like Elimelech)
3. Family ties: God told Abraham to leave his family to an unknown land (Gen 12)
We need to seek the face of God for direction regarding our location .
3. Natural Forces: The third force that contended with Jesus was natural laws/ forces but he overcame them. For example, he defied the law of gravity by his ascension, he defied the law of death by his rising up, he defied laws of physics by walking on water and so on. Jesus was a man accredited with miracles. Christianity is a life of miracles. We can’t achieve the greatness God intended for us unless He helps us supernaturally. Jesus prayed down miracles to have a miraculous ministry and that’s why he is renowned. We know of the story of Jabez in the bible who was born with a curse on him (through no fault of his) but he overcame when he discovered that prayers can wrought miracles (1 Chro 4:9-10) Namaan too overcame the embarrassment in his life through miracles. I pray that God will suspend all natural laws hindering your exaltations and perform miracles that will move you to your next level in Jesus name. You need to understand that Christianity guarantees you ‘good success’ (Joshua 1:8). You don’t need to be a Christian to be successful but to have good success, you must be a Christian experiencing miracles daily.

4. Your Association: The people you associate with determines where you will get to in life. Jesus prayerfully chose his friends (disciples) and they became his helpers of destiny. In Mark 4: , we read the account of four good friends who brought a sick man to Jesus by breaking the roof top. We have also read the story of King Rehoboam friends who gave him wrong advice causing the kingdom to be divided. How the do you identify good friends:
1. They identify with you in all circumstances
2. They love you for who you are and not what they can get from you
3. They are your helpers of destiny
4. They are not intimidated by your progress.
However, sometimes God brings few enemies your ways who can help you fulfil your destiny. Sometimes, your enemies aid you to pray more, fast more, work more and do more to fulfil your destinies. The enemies of Joseph (his brothers) helped him greatly to fulfil his purpose. (1 Cor 2:8)

5. Personal : Finally, Jesus himself played a major part in his exaltation. How do you see yourself? An eagle or grasshopper Christian? (Num 13:33 cf Is 40:31). Remove the term ‘impossible from your dictionary. A wise man said ‘there is no mountain anywhere except the one in the heart of men’. You need to understand that ‘The whole world stands aside for someone who knows where he is going’.
No one including Satan can derail a Christian (backed by the power of God) without your active or passive connivance.
Secondly, are you willing to pay the price for your lifting up? At the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was confronted with sheer pain and anguish (physical and emotional) but he prayed ‘not my will but let your will be done’ (Lk 22:42). Are you ready to do the will of God? It is not easy, but it is possible with God helping you

The will of God is for every believer to be lifted up just like Jesus. Jesus was able to overcome the forces against his exaltation. Are you ready to overcome them too? The bible says ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me (Phil 4:13)
Receive the grace to fulfil for your exaltation in Jesus name. Amen

Favour Factor for Exceeding Great Rewards

By Revd Osward Blankson Eduam,
Life Chapel International, Accra, Ghana

Brethren, for you to be rewarded exceedingly, you need the favour of God. The visitation to Abram by God confirms that, you don’t need everybody to favour you or to make it in life. You only need God. When you know God, you will meet the right people at the right time, and you will have that which God has prepared for you.
In Genesis 15:1-7, The Lord visited Abram, and told him not be afraid, and, he encouraged him about the plan and future he had for him. The Lord said, “I am your shield, and your exceeding great rewards”.
Genesis 15:1 – “After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward”.
Mercy is the divine force that brings your destiny to you, while Favour supports and defends it. Grace is the outcome of God’s released favour upon your life. Mercy of God makes you mighty and Grace makes men great. You will be great in Jesus name.
Brethren, favour is the principal determinant of every man’s future, and nothing can compare to the favour of God. It was the favour of God that made the Egyptians to release their wealth of silver, gold and expensive clothing to the Israelites when they were about to leave.
Exodus 12:36 – “And the Lord had given the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested”.
Every destiny is favour limited: If there is anything you desire so much as a Christian, that thing should be favour.
In Psalm 44:1-3, We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. 2 How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. 3 For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
In this case, we could see that, the whole generation of Israelites were prepared to tell everyone of how they were delivered. It happened because of favour, their destiny was established through favour. You will be highly favoured and rewarded in Jesus name.
Exploits is as a result of favour. In Eccl 9:11
11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Favour is God’s divine partial mercy: It is the special perfume that attracts people that matters to you. Another definition for favour is the clothing with God’s glory, which implies, surrounding you with opportunities and making you to do an exploits. There are so many leaders who were highly favoured of the Lord: Abraham, Joseph, Gideon, Deborah, Moses, David, Hosea, Isaiah, Mary, Matthew, Peter, Paul and many more. These people received God’s favour as their clothing, and the Lord made ways for them.
Favour is a person: To Joseph – Pharaoh was given to favour to him. To Elisha, – Elijah was given to favour him. The Lord will give you great people to make real His promises to you in Jesus name.
What do you need to experience the favour of God
You must be born again and live a righteous life
Have to be anointed with the Holy Spirit
Dedication to practical kingdom promotion: Whenever kingdom promotion becomes your priority, you will experience the favour of God all the time.
Be the lover of God.
