TEXT: Deuteronomy 28: 1-14
Obedience means compliance with an order, or submission to another’s authority. Deuteronomy 28: 3-14 speaks of some special blessings of God which are symbolic of next level experiences. However, all these blessings come by walking in obedience to the commands of the Almighty God.

Deuteronomy 28:2 says “All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.” This means the condition for changing levels is walking in obedience. Our God can be very generous when He wants to, but there are certain blessings to which He has attached conditions. One of such blessings is the next level experience.

Every act of obedience to God positions a man for a change of level. Sometimes the request might not even seem like an originator to a change of level but obedience makes it so. The mystery behind Abraham’s next level experiences was obedience (Genesis 12:1-3; 17:1-19). As difficult as it is to sacrifice one’s only child, Abraham obeyed God and did not withhold his son, and the result was a change of level (Gen 22: 15-18).

The reason some people are stagnated is because they have refused to obey God. Some are very good analysts; they are good at making excuses for their disobedience. Why don’t you yield to God and his commands today? At least, Peter said, nevertheless, at thy word, I will lay down the net (he obeyed) and he got a next level experience immediately (Luke 5:1-7). Even Jesus, our ultimate example, moved levels and scaled the utmost height by obedience (Philippians 2:8-10).

You have to obey God in every area of life if you need a change of level. One very important area that is tightly linked to your next level experience is soul winning. In John 15:16 Jesus says “ye have not chosen me but I have chosen you and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain: and here comes the open cheque – that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you.” This scripture is the covenant launching path to your next level (open cheque) and a commitment from our Lord. God bless and lift you up as you obey.
Shalom!
