Hindrances To Continuous Rejoicing, by Pastor Victor Olobaniyi
As we have studied in the last two Sundays ,Secrets/keys to continuous rejoicing, it may be necessary to also be aware of some things that could serve as hindrances to us experiencing this phenomenal promise of God.
We shall be considering a few points of those things that could hinder or serve as a barrier to our experiencing this ever increasing joy or continuous rejoicing.
The first Key hindrance to our continuous rejoicing is SIN. Romans 6 vs 1-2,16; Isaiah 59 vs 1 – 2, psalm 66 vs 18.Considering these references, we will notice clearly that our God is too Holy to behold iniquities and so frowned at it with all gravity.
So for us to keep our joy which the good Lord is given unto us, we need to run away from sin and live a righteous life.
Another thing that could hinder our continuous rejoicing is FEAR.
Fear is the opposite of Faith, and the bible says in Hebrews 11 vs 6,But without faith it is impossible to please Him.
Fear is a Faith killer, and you can only receive from the LORD with faith.
Some people define FEAR as False Evidence Appearing Real.
The God of continuous rejoicing is True, real and Righteous.
The third point we shall be considering is DOUBT, James 1 vs 6-8.
If you doubt God’s promises, it simply means you do not trust Him, and that makes it difficult for Him to keep your Joy as you have doubted the source of this continuous joy.
The last point we shall like to consider is ADVERSARIES, these could hinder our joy if we are not careful. Paul the Apostle said, a great door and effectual is opened unto me but there are many adversaries.1 Cor 16 vs 9.
Some of the adversaries may include, the work you are doing at the moment that do not give you any room to serve the LORD the way you should do, accepting extra shifts on Sunday morning because of double pay. Poverty, ill health, and even People (Enemies)to mention but a few.
My prayer is that none of these will be able to hinder our continuous rejoicing anymore in Jesus mighty name. Amen
