The Lord Shall Fight For You and You Shall Hold Your Peace

Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE – –
The theme of the month of October is Great and Sweet victories as spoken by God through His prophet.
The Bk of Psalm 118: 16-17 declares to us that ‘the right hand of Lord is exalted, the right hand of The Lord doeth valiantly.
I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.
Yet again the Bible says in Rom. 8:31 ‘What shall we then say to theses things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
True victories only come from God and if He declares that this month and from now on it is Great and sweet victories then believe it, for He will do it in Jesus name.

He is Jehovah The man of war, God has never lost a battle, and He will never lose in Jesus name. He is the consuming fire, no one goes to battle with Him lives to tell the story.
As long as we are on the Lord’s side it is an error for us to lose or fail in this life. He says we will hold our peace whilst He fight for us, you do not need to defend yourself, you won’t need to lift a finger in this battle for He says I The Lord will fight for you and you shall have great and sweet victories in Jesus name.

Brethren we are living in this world but not living as the world is living. For the Bible says even though we are living in this world, we are not of this world. The world can never be our friend neither will it love us for it hath not the love of the Father. For it hated Jesus first before us. The Bible says friendship with the world is enmity with God. In the Bk of John 16:33 Jesus said in this world we shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.

What am I trying to say, this world is a battlefield, we as children of God are constantly fighting a battle, even when we sleep, some people will say peace at last, we are still fighting battles, if only The Lord would open our spiritual eyes for us to see forces & spirits at work not wanting us to wake up, I am sure some people will become afraid of sleeping, but Brethren the Bible says even though we are fighting battles, the battles are already won even before we start, for the Bible says in the Bk of Roms.8:37 ‘that nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus that loved us.

You are here today and you see yourself between the devil and the Red Sea, you look around you and you feel trapped as if you have come to a dead end. I perceive in my spirit a word from The Lord to you today, and it says Fear not for I will deliver you, for the enemies you see today you will see them no more in Jesus name.

Do you know that every problem in the form of a challenge to us has an expiring date. It is not over until The Lord says it is over and when He says it is over it is victory time, it is party time and so shall it be in Jesus name.

Our main Bible reading will be taken from the Bk of Exo. 14:1-31

The children of Israel had just made their exist from Egypt, and for a lot of them I perceive they must have been saying peace at last, deliverance at last, Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. You are Gracious, you are wonderful, you are awesome, you are too much, God no one can be compared to you, until they looked behind in verse 10 of Exodus 14 and saw the same enemies they had been delivered from pursuing and marching towards them to capture them and in front them the great Red sea, they were trapped.

As soon as it dawned on them what was going on they became sore afraid and they cried unto The Lord. I thought they would have stopped there and watch & wait to see what God will do, but no they turned it to abuse, they began to abuse the anointed of The Lord Moses, they said ‘is it because we have no graves in Egypt that you have brought us here to die in the wilderness? Did we not tell you to leave us alone in Egypt to serve the Egyptians, for it would have been better for us than to come and die in the wilderness.

They began to blasphemy the name of The Lord God, in their moment of distress they forgot so easily how good God had been to them, the miracles and great signs he performed in Egypt that led to their deliverance. They forgot so easily how God had paid their wages of 450 yrs in one night. How The Lord restored all they had lost in slavery and bondage.

The Lord will help us in Jesus name, for some of us fall victim to the same things the children of Israel did.

They say desperate times calls for desperate measures and Moses cried unto The Lord, and God responded by saying ‘why are you crying to me, speak to the children of Israel that they go forward, I am very sure children of Israel would have said to Moses ‘move where, oh so you want us to commit suicide by Jumping into the Red Sea.

Brethren with God it is forward ever and backwards never, with him we go higher and higher, from Glory to glory, from grace to grace, from strength to strength in Jesus name.
The Bible says in Luke 9:62 ‘whosoever puts his hand on the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God’.

God instructed Moses as to what to do, He told him to lift up his rod, and stretch out his hand over the sea and divide it, and the children of Israel will go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

The Bible makes us to understand that God caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground like a highway, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left, that is what I call great victory Brethren, no man can do this except God, no scientist has been able to prove how this happened because there is no searching to the understanding of The Lord. You can not study God as a case study, God can not be read as a degree. The Bible says we know in part, we prophesy in part, Brethren we will not know everything about God until we see Him in Glory and become like Him.

Then the children of Israel crossed over, their enemies made a terrible mistake for they pursued them with everything they had, Pharaoh came out with all his riders, his horse and chariots because God hardened his heart, God wanted to display his Glory through Pharaoh and his whole army (this really happened because in the Bk of Joshua 2: 9-10 Rehab in the city of Jericho said to the spies that God sent to spy the land ‘I know that The Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how The Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt.) Even a heathen lady that did not know God like the children Israel did believed in Him more.

The Bible made us to understand that the Red Sea was an escape route for the children of Israel from their enemies but it became a death trap for their enemies (Pharaoh, his riders, his chariots and his horses) for they all drowned in the Red Sea when The Lord commanded Moses to stretch his hands over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen.

The Bible tells us that the children of Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore, the enemies they saw today, they saw them no more. This is what I call sweet victory and it made them sing a new song and dance a new dance to the Glory of God in the Bk of Exo. 15:1 ‘I will sing unto The Lord, for He hath triumphed gloriously the horse and his riders hath he thrown into the sea.

Let somebody shout Alleluia.

May The Lord God Almighty cause us to sing new songs and dance new dance steps of great and sweet victories to His Glory in Jesus name.

May He cause us to laugh and make everyone that hear us laugh, laugh with us in Jesus name.

God Is About To Do A New Thing In Your Life

By Minister Aderemi Adelugba –
(Text: John 9: 1-18)
The scripture states in Exodus 34:10 – Then the Lord replied, “Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord – the awesome power I will display for you (NLT).
God is about to do something new that you have never seen or imagined in your life. The almighty is about to grant you favour of the highest order. You may be saying where else could I go next? After all, I have achieved all I could possibly achieve. The Lord is saying to you, the peak you have reached today, will be nothing to what the Lord will do for you tomorrow. May be you don’t know how to make a start in your career, finance, relationship and marriage; the Lord will take you to the stage of wonder and overflow in Jesus name. God is about to do a new thing that eyes have not seen, nor ears have heard nor hath entered into the heart of any man in Jesus name. He will give you freedom and boldness, and you will enter into your abundance and promotion in Jesus name.
God can do absolutely everything, and nothing is difficult for Him to do. There are so many examples of miracles God performed in the bible, which was never performed anywhere before. In 2 King 6:1-7, Elisha went with the sons of the prophets to the Jordan, in the process of cutting the materials required to rebuild where they live, the axe head fell into the water, this axe was borrowed and they needed to return it back. But the Lord did an amazing thing which had never happened before. He changed the laws of floatation and, the iron did swim. That was how the axe head was recovered. I don’t really know what your own problems are, but God is in it. He solved the problems for the sons of the prophets miraculously; He will solve yours miraculously in Jesus name. You may have said to yourself, I am just going to pack it all up and go. God says; don’t do that, stay and you will eat the best of the land.
In Luke 5:1-11, Peter was out fishing all night, and caught nothing, he was in the company of other fishermen, and they were already washing their nets when Jesus went to borrow his boat. When Jesus was done speaking using his boat, He had a conversation with Simon Peter, and told him to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a big catch, He told Peter, I am the one who controls the fishes in the ocean. Peter wasn’t an apostle at the time. He had no faith, but God held him over with His faith. This day something powerful happened in Peter’s life. It was an extra-ordinary thing. God restored and overwhelmed him with great harvest. Even though Peter was a professional fisherman, he knew what time of day he could go and catch fishes. But Jesus proved him wrong. The call of God is always beyond our grasps. He wants to do a new thing, would you allow Him to start?
In our text, John 9:1-18 – There was a blind man in this story. The man did not call out to Jesus at all. The man was just seating down quietly. In some other instances of healing, the people healed had to cry out, for example, the leper cried out and received healed. The army captain cried out and God healed his daughter. In the case of this blind man, Jesus decided to do a new thing using a different approach to reach out to him.
The message for you today is; Even when you have lost hope; God will reach out to you: John 9:1 states, and as Jesus passed by… This suggests to us that Jesus was on another mission. He had every right not to want to look at anyone on his way out, following the event that took place at the latter part of John 8, where the people were going to stone him. It was after this event that he was passing by and saw the man born blind. The man did not show any sign of faith, but Jesus went to him and opened his eyes. Your case is not difficult for the creator of the heavens and the earth – Kabiyesi. This man blinded from birth, never saw a flower, never experienced joy, never seen what he was been fed with. Jesus just went to him, made mud and made him see. The man was able to see for the first time in his life. Some of you may think you have reached your limits, you don’t know what to do again, and your job applications and project proposals have all been turned down. The Lord will grant unto you sweet victory in Jesus name. You will live in the house of your dream. You will become an employer of labour in Jesus name.
Anyone who would enjoy a new thing would stop analysing God: The disciples were so amazed when they saw the blind man. They were adding two and two together to determine what exactly went wrong. In other words, don’t let your presuppositions deflect the plan of God for your life. Some people will try to make sense of what is going on in your life, but God will surprise them before any conclusion is drawn in their minds in Jesus name. God knows what you are going through; He will put the right strategies together to resolve it with an amazing outcome in Jesus name. Eph 3:20. God is able to give exceedingly abundantly beyond everything you are thinking. If you have never accomplished a dream before, God is starting a new thing for you.
Anyone who would enjoy a new thing would not doubt God’s ability: Don’t start doubting God like Zacharias did in Luke 1:13–20. The angel of the Lord said to Zacharias, do not worry for the Lord will do a new thing, and your wife would bear a son, even at old age. Age is immaterial to God, when He decides to make you fruitful; He will do it without consultation with nobody. In 2 King 4: 8-17, Gehazi said to his master, verily, verily, the Shunammite woman has no son, and her husband is old – the medical report for the woman does not look good, and Elisha said to her, about this season, according to the time of life, thou shall embrace a son. Even thou the woman did not believe, God sealed it and was established. Anything impossible in your life would become possible in Jesus name.
You must recognise that certain things must happen for God to be glorified: In the issue of the blind man, the disciples asked the Lord who sinned… Jesus responded no one sinned. Brethren, Jesus understands your bio data. He knows your medical history, and He will walk into it today in Jesus name. Certain things would have to happen in life, for Christ to give you the expected result. This man never saw any joy, but when He met Jesus his joy abounded. New position means new condition. Your incarceration is positional and is temporary. Before we believed in Jesus, we were slaves unto sin. But then, Jesus redeemed us unto himself, and He gave a quit notice to sin, therefore, everything can now be done in our life and we have won all battles with sweet victories.
If new things must happen to you, you must allow Christ to rule in your life: Apostle Paul states in Phil 3:7-8 – But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. Nothing mattered to Paul after the encounter he had with the Lord. He did not care about his intellectual properties, his language abilities did not matter anymore, and his writing skill was used for the things of the Lord. All he wanted to do was to live and live for God alone. If you don’t allow the Lord to rule your life, it would be impossible to receive a new thing from the Him. The man born blind had his position renewed, he became a new man, and He declared and shared his testimonies to the people. He said you guys may call him anything you like, but to me, once I was blind, now I can see, I call Him my Prophet and Messiah.
The question for you today, is there anything dominating your life right now? Are you locked into a way of thinking that leadeth into darkness? Please examine yourself and begin to pray so that God can visit, and, do unto you that which is marvellous, which no eyes have seen, nor entered into the heart of any man.

You Are Programmed For Victory

By Pastor Aderemi Adelugba –

Brethren, God has programmed your life the same way a computer is programmed. He has loaded your life with software for victory. He has granted you victory in all areas of life. You may not understand it, but your mind is renewed and conditioned for greatness in Jesus name. Now the question is whether you are prepared to activate the programmes the Lord has installed into your life.
The meaning of programme is to comprehensively install a process that can change a particular formulation to an executable activity. The reason for programming is to ensure a set of instruction will perform a specific task when activated. In other word, if the programme is not activated, the task will not run. Likewise, if Christians fail to recognise the fact that they are a finished product, they will continue to work and operate in mediocrity and defeat. I pray that you will live to fulfill the plan of God in Jesus name. Jeremiah 29:11 say, for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, the thought of peace, and not of evil and that to give you an expected end.
God has already crowned and installed you with every blessing. All you have to do is to go ahead and activate the programmes of God for your life. Start acting out His anointing upon your life. He wants you to walk in your victory, healing, wealth and joy. You need to begin to speak like a blessed man and woman. You are a package of blessing, and not a failure.
The scripture says in Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. This scripture is not just talking of what God can do, it is a declaration and appreciation of what the Lord has already done. Paul recognised all the possible obstacles that God had removed from us. You have received everything in the spiritual, so start acting it out. He did not put failure or evil in your way. He planted joy and favour instead. He granted you goodness and mercies. God had already done all these things, and all your battles have been won in the heavenly places.
The scripture also states in 3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. It is a declaration. He knew the end of the matter from the beginning. Therefore, your prosperity and health is not negotiable. Some of us did not know we would be in here today, but God programmed it even before the start of ages. For example, a little over ten years ago, as I sat down in my living room listening to the news, the Sky News reported that some part of the city of York was badly flooded. Then, I was concerned about what the inhabitants of the city were experiencing. Many years after this occurrence, God worked it out that; we would need to move to York. It was in the programme of God for us to move to the same city I wondered about. You may not be too sure of the reason why you are in this city today, but God says, you are here for a purpose, and, He will programme you for success and victory in this land, and so shall it be in Jesus name.
The scripture also says in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for hem that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
The scripture teaches us to be rest assured that we have been endowed with everything we require to succeed in life. If you have been successful in so many areas of life, be rest assured that the best is yet to come. This month of October, your outdated programme will be updated in Jesus name. From today onward, you will never be the same again in Jesus name. Your life will listen to the command of God’s programme in Jesus name.
Jesus stated that you are what you believe, therefore, if you believe that God has worked out your turn around, and He has said to you that you are more than a conqueror, what exactly are you wondering about? He has programmed you, equipped you and renewed you like an eagle. You will never be defeated in Jesus name.
God’s desire for you is that, you become aware of all the power and programme of God. God said, let the weak says, I am strong, let the poor says, I am rich and I am well able. Begin to programme that into your life. Brethren, you are who God says you are. If your bank account says you are poor, begin to declare that you are wealthy in Jesus name, and the one who has programmed you, and, giveth the power to make wealth would surprise you in Jesus name. If you have problem with your health, you need to start declaring that I am healed and whole in Jesus name.
For God’s programme to be activated in your life, you must be sensitive and be ready to stand for God. For example, it is possible for the gates to be shut without realising it. It is possible to have the feeling that you have come to the bus stop of life. You are not alone. God is with you at all times. It happened to the Israelites. In Joshua 6:1 – ‘Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out; and none came in. But when you hearken to God, the walls of Jericho will fall flat for you, and, you will be able to possess your possession in Jesus name.
There might have been some issues of life threatening your future; the Lord will remove all obstacles in Jesus name. An obstacle for defeat was put in the way of the Israelites through the sin of Achan, because he took an accursed thing. Initially, it appeared as if the Israelites would lose the battle, but when the revealing power of the Lord came upon them, they destroyed Ai. I pray that whatever that may be clouding your eyes, which is making it impossible for the programme of God to be activated in your life, will be removed today in Jesus name.
God is able to turn defeat into victory – (Joshua 7: 1-3). Victory is a term synonymous to success. Everyone wants victory in life, an athlete desire to become champion and break records, but God has to have his hands in their programme. Things don’t just happen by accident. Esther became a queen just because God had already written it into her destiny.
Delay is not a denial: The fact that the Israelite withdrawn from the battle front when the solders from Ai struck them does not mean they lost confidence. It was an opportunity for them to get back to God, so they could be re-built and re-programmed. Likewise, Christians go through rough patches, and it would seem as if we would never be able to come out at the other end, God is in control. Remember, you are a God finished product, and His products can never be faulty or disappointed. You will come out of every issues of life in good time in Jesus name.
In the book of 2 Kings 18:1, Hezekiah, the king of Judah removed the high places and broke all images and groves. The scripture stated that he trusted in the Lord God of Israel that after him, there was no one like him. … And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not……Basically, Hezekiah rebelled against Sennacherib, and Sennacherib continued to push and oppress him. But when God was ready, He turned the tide around and 180,000 of Sennacherib soldiers were struck to dead by the angel of the Lord, and, Senacherib himself was killed by his own sons. I declare that every hand of oppression against you and your family shall bow to the programme of God in your life, and you will be victorious in Jesus name.
God is able to activate the dormant programme in your life: It may well be that the programme of God is dormant in your life, then you will need to pray, and God will re-activate it. When the oppression was too much for Hezekiah, he had to pray, and God heard him. The scripture states in 2 King 19:7 – Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land… May be you are thinking to yourself, how will God deliver me today? How will I come out of all these problems? God is sending a blast to the camp of your enemies now, and you will be victorious in Jesus name.
Naaman was a warrior who struggled with leprosy, and when God was ready to deliver him out of the battle of sickness, He activated His healing programme in his life. You case is not impossible in the hand of the Lord (2 King 5). The scripture states, Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake – Isaiah 54:15.
Brethren, get ready to update the programmes of heaven for your life. Go back to the source if you feel your programme is expired or dormant. The Lord will bless your life in Jesus name.

Pass Me Not Gentle Saviour

By Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE
The Theme of the month of September is Season of Renewal as spoken by God through His Prophet.

The Bk of Isa 43:19 says ‘Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
When God says He will do a new thing believe it because He will do it, He is not a man that He should lie, He has declared this month a season of renewal, believe it and it shall surely come to pass in Jesus name.

The Bible says in the Bk of Acts 1:17 ‘ And he said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his power.
NCV says, ‘The Father is the only One who has the authority to decide dates and times, these things are not for you to know.
It is not in our power to know the dates and the times that God has set in place but for us to believe that it will come to pass and expect and wait patiently for the promises to come to pass in our lives because we know that God can’t fail and will never fail in Jesus name.

In the Bk of Hab. 2:3 it says ‘For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it, because It will surely come, it will not tarry.
Has The Lord promised you something, write it down, make it plain, remind yourself of the promises everyday, expect it to happen, wait patiently for it, watching and praying and when it does happen it is always beautiful to the Glory of God.
My prayer for someone here today is that as you delight yourself in The Lord, He will grant you your heart’s desire according to His will in Jesus name.
I decree, may The Lord not pass you by in this season of renewal in Jesus name.

Text: Mark 10:46-52

We always say Blind Bartimaeus, but he is not blind anymore to the Glory of God.
I would like us to examine the sequence of events in this Bible verses that we have just read that led Bartimaeus to his miracle on this day, the things he did that caused The Good Lord not to pass him by on the day his season of renewal came knocking at the door of his faith.

Brethren there is always a day like no other day in the life of everyone.
In the Bk of Jos. 10:12 the Bible said when the day was coming to an end Joshua was still fighting against The Amelikites, the war was not yet over, Joshua spoke to the sun, thou sun stand still in Gibeon and thou moon in the valley of Ajalon, and the Bible recorded that the sun and the moon obeyed and that there was no day like that day before or after it that The Lord hearkened unto the voice of man.

1) verse 46 ( The Bible recorded that Our Lord Jesus and His disciples went out of Jericho (they were passing by)
The Bible says in Ecc. 3:1 ‘To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.

It was recorded in heaven that Jesus would be passing by Jericho on that particular day and time, and some body called Bartimeaus was going to be favoured.
Just like it has been recorded in heaven that you and I will be in church today and as Jesus is passing by we will be favoured in Jesus Mighty name.
Brethren may we not be in the wrong place at the wrong time, rather at the right place at the right time.
May we not be told Ah! You have just missed Him, if you were here a minute earlier, you would have met Him here. It will not be our portion in Jesus name.

2) verse 47 ( And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth) not just anyone but The Son of God Himself, The Great Healer.

The Bible says in the Bk of 1 Chron. 12:32 NCV ‘ There were 200 leaders from Issachar, they knew what Israel should do, and they knew the right time to do it.
KJV (they had the understanding of the times)
Blind Bartimeaus was able to discern the season like the sons of Issachar, he was blind but his hearing was sound for he was able to hear that Jesus the son of David was passing by, therefore his season of renewal had come, his set time to be favoured had come and he was determined that nothing was going to make him lose out.
My prayer for us is that we will not lose out on any of God’s promises and blessings for us in Jesus name.

3) verse 47b (He began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou Son of David have mercy on me).

Brethren before change can come we need to lift our voices and cry out to The One that can cause change to happen in our lives, do not keep quiet, the Bible says in Matt. 7:7 ask and ye shall receive. Yet it says in John 15:24 until now you have not asked anything in my name, it says ask and you will receive so that your joy might be full.
They say a closed mouth is a closed destiny.

4) verse 48 (And many charged him that he should hold his peace, but he cried the more a great deal. Thou Son of David, have mercy on me).
Brethren we must not look or listen to distractions around us when our season of change and renewal comes.
Remember Elisha in the Bk of 2Kings 2 when his master Elijah was going to be taken to heaven by God, the sons of the prophet and even his master tried to distract and dissuade him from receiving his desire, a double portion of the spirit of God upon his master but he made up his mind not to give in to any distraction and in the end because he was focused and he persevered, he received his desire, and the same son’s of the prophets that tried to dissuade him came to bow to him when they perceived that the spirit of God upon his master Elijah was now resting on him.
In the case of Bartimeaus it was the same people that tried to silence him, were the same people that said to him ‘Be of good comfort, rise, he called thee.’

5) verse 50 (And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus’).

The Bible says in Heb. 12:1 (‘Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witness. Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin, which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us’).
For Bartimeaus that garment he cast away represented something in his life, it was like a hindrance, an obstacle in his way of receiving his miracle and he was determined that he was not going to allow the weight hinder him of his breakthrough.
Jesus might never pass his way again and that might have meant he might have died blind.

Everyone of us here knows that weight and the sin that easily besets us.
For some people it is food, phone, clothes, sleep, laziness, being careless, bad company (evil associations), procrastination, gossip, Brethren the list is endless.

6) Be specific, say exactly what you want The Lord to do for you,

Remember the man with an infirmity for 38yrs. at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-5 he began to tell stories when Jesus asked him, do you want to be made whole. Thank God for the mercies of God because Our Lord Jesus overlooked his lack of faith and healed him on that day.
Blind Bartimeaus went straight to the point in verse 51 when Jesus asked him what can I do for you, he said ‘Lord, that I might receive my sight’. He asked in the name of Jesus and his joy was made full.

May our Father in heaven help us all in Jesus name.
May He not pass us by in Jess name.
May another not take our place on the day of our honour because we are nowhere to be found in Jesus name.
May our ministering angels not take our blessings back because we are not found occupying our duty post in the place where God wants us to be in Jesus name.

The living and steadfast God is the keeper of my life

By Dr. Aderemi Adelugba –
Text:- Daniel 6:26

In Psalm 121:1, the Psalmist declared his total dependence and trust on the living and steadfast God. He composed the song and, his fellow brethren sang along to praise God. They reflected on the Lord’s goodness throughout the journey of their live, especially, how they walked over the dry ground in the middle of the sea – Exodus 14:21-22. Also, the way the Lord won all their battles for them. The conclusion was that, the Lord we serve is an unfailing God. I pray the Lord will not be asleep concerning your case in Jesus name.

The scripture says, I will lift up my eyes unto the hill, from whence cometh my help? You must know the God you serve, before you can cry out to Him in the days of trouble. If you don’t have a relationship with God, you are basically wasting your time. Because situations of life may well confront you, and ask where is your God? You will be able to tell them you are serving a living God, who neither sleeps nor slumbers.

When issues of life comes, the presence of the Lord will be with you, like He did for Moses in Exodus 33:11-16, And God answered Moses and He showed him His presence. The Lord said my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest. God is not slack concerning your situation and, He will not fall asleep in Jesus name. All He demands from you is faithfulness, and your life would enjoy His mercies. God is the maker of heaven and earth, and He has all the help in his hands. Your maker knows your future. He created you and, He knows the end of the matter from the beginning. Therefore, nothing shall be difficult for him to do. In Exodus 33:17, the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. For the Lord to answer your prayer, you need to have a relationship with Him. The three Hebrew children knew their God, and they boldly said unto Nebuchadnezzar, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king (Daniel 3:17).

The Lord will not allow any form of evil to overpower you in Jesus name. The Psalmist says, He would not let your feet slips when you walk. The Lord sustained the widow who was carrying loads of debt on her shoulder, He provided for her need, and her debt was miraculously paid off, and on top of that, she remained a blessing (2 King 4:1-7). Whenever you are looking for a helper, God will raise many for you in Jesus name. In Psalm 121: 5-7, the Psalmist says, the Lord is the keeper of our souls and shields us from all evils. The Lord is able to take evil away from you. He will take disgrace away from you and, He will set you free when the enemies gang up against you in Jesus name. Mordecai was marked for evil by Haman. He had already built gallows in preparation for Mordecai’s death (Esther 5:14), but the Lord who is the keeper of souls, and the one who shields us from evil, changed the game. Then the gallows Haman built for Mordecai was used for his own death. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had made for Modecai, then was the king’s wrath pacified (Esther 7:10). You will win over your adversaries in Jesus name. As many as are planning evil for you, the Lord will arise and win your battles in Jesus name. Do not be afraid, the Lord who won the battle for David, is able to fight and win your battles in Jesus name.

In Daniel 6:1-22, Daniel was described as a man with an excellent spirit of God. He was preferred over presidents and princes. Despite his position, he was faced with an enormous risk of being consumed by lions, but guess what? God did not fall asleep concerning his case. The Lord wanted his life to be an example unto others. In Daniel 6: 1-24, we saw how the Lord made the lions to fall asleep when he was in the den with them. Even King Dairus was amazed of what was to become of Daniel, but the Lord whom we serve, never fails. He is able to keep watch on you, even when you are unaware that the enemies are all over you. The Lord kept watch over Daniel, and, he returned to the surface unscathed. I pray you will not be overwhelmed by trouble in Jesus name.

For God to be alert concerning your situations, you must know the Lord you serve and take note of the following points.

Acknowledge God even when you are at the top: Daniel acknowledged God always, even when he was in a position of authority and responsibilities. It is by the grace of God that you are where you are today. Thousands of people would have been appointed over you, but God loved and showed you favour. Daniel was not part of the royal family, yet he was made the head of King Darius’s government. He headed a council of 120 princes with responsibilities, yet he found time to acknowledge God.

Daniel was full of God’s excellent spirit and power: Anyone who would want God to keep watch upon him or her must possess the power and spirit of God. The power would speak for you in the days of trouble. Even the other princes recognised the power in His life, and they said, we shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God – Daniel 6:5. People around you must be able to testify to God’s power in your life.

Daniel was a prayer warrior: Daniel continued to pray even when the king of the land was asleep. Your success and the height of your promotion can make your enemies gets jealous. Therefore, get on your knees and communicate with the Lord, so that, when you are in bed sleeping and snoring, He would be guarding and watching over you – Daniel 6:10.

Dairus lost sleep: When God is awake concerning your case, the people in charge of your case will not be able to sleep. King Dairus lost sleep over Daniel’s case, simply because, he remembered how much power Daniel possessed. His memory concerning the experience of Nebuchadnezzar and his son taught him how to respond to the carrier of God’s power. He did not want any repercussion. Hence, he kept a vigil wondering what was going on in the lion’s den. I pray that the judge over your case will favour you, and, they will not be able to sleep until they have favoured you in Jesus name.

Prayer Points

O Lord, every power struggling to re-program my life, drive them out in Jesus name.

O Lord, uproot every tares the enemies has sowed into my life while asleep in Jesus name.

Ask Me Not Where I have Been, But Ask Me Where I Am Going

By Dr Abayomi SANUSI –
I THANK God for the opportunity to share with you these words, mere reminders of the scriptural precepts you are already familiar with.

It’s that time of the year. The year is nearing the end. There have been life transforming events. For countries there have been challenges and problems. For individuals the importance of being part of a community, or a family is greatly emphasised. The society continues to aggressively pursue the now familiar liberal and anti-God agenda. Some things however remain constant and unchanging.

The knowledge that God cares about His children, and will never leave or forsake us is invaluable and comforting (Psalm 37.25). There is the reassurance that it is well with us, not because of the provisions of society, but by the command, decision and grace of God. That reassurance cannot be paid for with physical possessions (Matt, 6.33). The advantage we have in realising that the maker of the universe, our father, is ever with us and has empowered us to continue the work of Christ Jesus is empowering.

It is a time of the year that weariness may set in. The dreariness of physical toil and mundane repetitive activities that creep upon people near the middle of tasks and projects are no respecter of us people of faith. In achieving our personal goals, spiritual, education and professional achievement, and other aspects of life we need revitalisation. We need to redefine and reassess out position.

“Whatever it takes to make it, I?m going all the way. I may be down sometimes, but I won?t be down always” goes the upbeat chorus from a song I liked years back. One of the verses of the song starts “Ask me not where I?ve been but ask me where I?m going…” It?s time to reassess and ask yourself where you?re going. Not only that question alone though. We also need to reassess why you?re going there, what you intend to do there, and who?s going with you! In the journey of your life are you a passenger, the driver or pilot, the co-driver or co-pilot? What kind of vehicle are you travelling in. Are you prepared to go all the way to get to your destination?

Example from a mistake in Israel!

After installing Saul as king as compelled by the people but guided by God, frail, grey and elderly Samuel assembled an entire nation and was very uncompromising in his approach. He established some facts including what Israel?s sin was. In conclusion he established that for His Name?s sake, the Lord will not forsake His people. 1Samuel 12.17-25

Somewhere along and in the dreary middle of the history of the nation of Israel and Judah, imperfect decisions were made. Despite rejecting God as their king, God continued to work with, guide, bless and protect Israel. They went on to produce wonderful and historic rulers including David and Solomon. God turned their error around and incorporated it into His perfect plan. My prayer is that God will arrest your errors, imperfections, weariness; and turn every wrong decision around to favour you and achieve His plan for your life. Not only this year but in perpetuity.

Where are you going, What are your errors, and who will you turn to ?

So as we near the dreary middle of a so far eventful year, let us as children of God reassess our journey, and establish some facts. An imperfect start is not an excuse for failure. A faulty interim is not a damnation verdict. There is no situation my God cannot turn around. The bible is full of humans making mistakes, and getting corrections and achieving a desirable result. I have personally fallen short of several of my personal expectations so far this year, yet God remains merciful to me. It is not difficult to guess which new year resolutions have turned to disappointment for many! Have you been scorned, victimised, hurt, discriminated against? Have you disappointed yourself? God is merciful and no less powerful than before! David was a broken and contrite man in Psalm 51 after committing murder, adultery, hypocrisy and blasphemy. He asked God to cleanse him and give him a new heart. Verse 10. It is an appropriate exhortation for us today. Whilst we address those things that are due to our own inadequacies, let us rely on God for His mercies.
