That your joy might be full

By Pastor Samuel Obafaiye, —-
There are several passages in the scriptures that speak about fullness of joy. God does not just want us to experience joy, but He wants us to be full of joy. This message is to challenge us further in order that our joy might be full.

John 15:11
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
Jesus had spoken to the disciples about abiding in His love and that by keeping His commandments, their joy will be full.

John 16:24
Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Again Jesus told the disciples that if they asked His Father anything in His name, those things will be done, and their joy will be full.

1 John 1:4
And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
John was writing that the understandingly of Jesus being the Word of life, and having fellowship with God through Jesus Christ does bring a fullness of joy.

In Psychology, we are taught that one could derive happiness in three ways:
Be engaged in doing something;
Be engaged in loving someone; and
Be engaged in looking forward to something great.

Interestingly, the scripture corroborates this as there are instances in the bible we can refer to which leads to joy because of these three ways.

Engaging in doing something
As Christians we can derive joy in what we do. There are certain deeds that bring joy to our hearts.
The bible tells us that Jesus was taking for a census in His province by His earthly parents, on their way back, He was found to be missing. After three days journey, His parents had to go back to Nazareth to look for Him. Surprisingly, He was found in the Temple, listening, to, asking and answering questions from bible scholars!
When His parents told Him how they had suffered looking for Him, His answer to them was remarkable.

Luke 2:48-49
And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.” And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Jesus was having joy in what He was doing, at twelve years old, to the extent that He wasn’t perturbed about His parents’ absence for three days! Do you derive joy in what you are doing?
Do you know that you can be a brother of sister of Jesus? Will that make you joyous?

Matthew 12:46-50
While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

How about if you are able to do the sort of things Jesus did when He was on the earth. Will that not bring you joy?
John 14:12
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

All these afford us the opportunity to be joyful. What God does not want us to do is to be idle.
Matthew 20:6-7
And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day? ’ They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us. ’ He said to them, ‘You go into the vineyard too. ’
What are you doing in the Lord’s vineyard? Your earthly and eternal joy is attached to it.

2 Timothy 4:5
As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.
Whosoever fulfilled his/her ministry will certainly be joyous. Paul was joyous as he completed his ministry. He knew a crown was waiting for him.

The bible says there is joy before the angels of The Lord for a sinner that repents. The truth goes further to say that the person that made that possible will be a tree of life, and such a person will remain wise (Prov. 11:30).
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and whoever wins souls is wise.

Engaging in loving someone
Love can be very intoxicating. Those who are in love are extremely joyous when they are together. The bible tells us who to love so we can be joyful.
God is love; He also demonstrated His love to us by sending His Son to die for us. While we were yet sinners, God commend this love towards us (1 John 4:1-19).
If we love God back, we would have tremendous joy. This love must be shown by the whole of our heart, soul, mind and strength.
We must also love our neighbours as ourselves. Extend the love of God to someone and you will certainly derive great joy in doing so.

Engaging in looking forward to a greater future
One of the greatest weapons of joy is hope of a greater future. Those who have lost hope become sad, but those with hope thrive in joy. There are several things embedded in the scriptures that a child of God should look forward to:
Mansions (John 14:1-3)
A time of no sickness, pain or sorrow
An opportunity to see Christ face to face
1 John 3:2-3
Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Privilege to be residents of the New Earth
Opportunity to meet the old saints
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
1 Peter 1:8
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,

In the letter of Paul to the Philippians, there were more than sixteen times where the word joy or rejoice is mentioned. Apostle Paul was admonishing and urging the Philippians to rejoice always in The Lord. Interestingly, Paul wrote this letter in a Roman prison! The security was serious, with chains tying Paul with Roman soldiers, so he would not escape like it happened before (Acts 16:25-34).

With cold, poor feeding, possible beating, no sun rays, etc. Paul still taught that Christians should seek resounding joy in The Lord. This was so because Paul had found something meaningful and rewarding to do; he had found Whom to love; and he had a hope of been with Christ in Heaven.
How about you? What do you derive joy from? Labour for the joy that will not perish today.

Almighty Father, please guarantee my fullness of joy.
Almighty Father, arrange everything in life to give me resounding joy.
Almighty Father, help me to find something to do for you; help me to love you and my neighbour; and help me to earnestly look forward to your coming.

Sermon delivered on the 17th of November, 2013 at RCCG EFA York.

Your Joy cannot be taken from you

By Dr. Abayomi Sanusi – –
Again, welcome to November 2013, our Month of Resounding Joy.
There is an old spiritual that triumphantly declares ‘This joy that I have, the world didn’t give it to me and cannot take it away’. There is deep spiritual understanding behind that affirmation.

Joy is better experienced than explained, and can be difficult to translate. It is an outwardly expressed feeling of pleasure and delight. Many English language dictionaries refer to a joy in the light of its derivation from a Latin based French word that refers back to the act of rejoicing! Several languages display similar weaknesses in adequately representing joy. Perhaps for this reason there are usually several closely related yet different and unique words to describe joy. I conclude from observing the literal meaning of these words that joy must be a combination of three things: Peace of mind, Calmness of spirit, and Contentment of soul.

Being spiritual beings resident in a physical world, it is extremely easy and convenient to confuse happiness for joy. So much so that in today’s English language we just lazily fail to distinguish often use the expression “Joy and Happiness”. They are profoundly different. Watching your favourite football team win a world cup, deriving a desired achievement, or similar things also give pleasure and delight but have no impact on peace of mind, calmness of spirit or contentment of soul. We manage to shed ‘tears of joy’, and not of happiness!

Jesus spoke to his disciples of things about to happen to him: His death, resurrection, and the consequences for His followers. He stressed that He shall no longer need to speak to them in parables, but openly. He declared that ‘your joy no man taketh from you’. John 16.19-24 We need to understand that regardless of what happens in this earth to us as Christians, nothing can take our joy away.

Here are examples of joyful situations.
The bible describes a kind of peace that passes all understanding, the peace of God, which is able to keep the christian’s heart and mind. This can only be achieved through Jesus Christ. In fact Paul described the saints at Philippi as his ‘joy and crown’, encouraging them to stand fast in the Lord. That calmness of spirit and contentment in knowing the interest, work and power of God in the saints’ lives is characteristic of joy. Phil 4.1,6-7.

We get a glimpse of joy in Jesus’s parable of the lost sheep, and the description of rejoicing that happens in heaven when a soul is saved. There is no material quantification of the joy and rejoicing experienced from seeing an offspring doing well in life. Another example is the rejoicing when a miracle is performed, an achievement is realized, the grace and mercy of God have been displayed, or the emergence of another Christian testimony.

Joy has some unique characteristics.
Joy can be lost! The source of true joy is our Lord even when this is not very obvious to some people (Eccl 2.26a) & James 1.17. It is possible to rejoice wrongly, incorrectly and sinfully. James 4.13-17. Joy can be temporary Job 20.4-5. Throughout the ages innumerable people have used diverse ways to seek happiness to try and achieve joy. But true joy is spiritual, inseparable from God’s vision for your future. John 3.17-19. Achievement of this true joy and rejoicing requires spiritual understanding. Christians are at the very core of the constant struggle between God and the powers of darkness. And there is no excuse for ignorance. 1Pet 4.12-14

My prayer is that your joy shall be full. You will shed tears of joy. May God satisfy you with Peace of mind, Calmness of spirit, and Contentment of soul. There will never be a shortage of joy in your life and family! God will rebuke and eliminate every threat to your joy.

What are the consequences of knowing these things?
People of understanding rejoice in the things of God! (1 Thess 2.19)
It is imperatively a command that we rejoice in the Lord always. How can you rejoice in something or someone you never talk to, read about or fellowship with? Phil 4.4, Psalm 33. Without the necessary spiritual understanding there can be no true or lasting joy. If the basis of your joy is not God, you have no joy. Luke 15.3-7, 1 Chronicles 16.31-34.

Do not let anything steal your joy away from you

You think life is not turning out the way you planned it. God is the giver of joy. Is God the center of that plan? Only He could guarantee and sustain peace of mind, calmness of spirit or contentment of soul. If God gives you joy the world cannot take it away! People cannot make you happy. John 16.22.
Think of all adverse events, people and situations as stealers of joy. They are simply asking your permission to take your joy away. Do not give that permission. Go back to the basics. Go to God and rejoice in Him. It is time to know Him if you have not. Like that old spiritual know for yourself who the giver of your joy is, and the ill-understood fact that nothing can ever take your joy away. Jesus said so Himself, and still means it today.

You will be intoxicated with Joy in Jesus’ name

Pastor Aderemi Adelugba – –
Text: 2 King 4: 8-37
Many people would automatically assume that happiness is when everything looks shiny and dazzling. Some would say to themselves, if I have a good job or a successful business, a nice house, and lots of money, I would be happy. It is absolutely true, you may be happy, and friends and families would celebrate you. However, it may not necessarily mean that your joy is full. The simple reason for this is because happiness is on the outside (external), while joy is of the heart (internal).
Intoxication is synonymous with drunkenness, and drunkenness is a consequence of drinking intoxication, a stage where someone would lose control of their senses. This is however, what is known as synthetic joy. This is because someone is spending his/her money to buy an alcoholic which can make them to become a moron in a matter of minutes.
Intoxication can also mean to become overwhelmed; or be in a state of stupor, which may cause you to loss control of yourself and behave like you have never behaved before. On the other hand Joy refers to someone not something. That someone is Jesus Christ. John15:11 states, these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. So when you are intoxicated with joy (Jesus), it means you have received favour and mercies of the highest order. Your joy will overflow in Jesus name.
Brethren, if you have not been intoxicated with joy before, the Lord will visit you this month in Jesus name. I don’t know what situation you may have, that has been given you a heartache. It may be something in relation to your coming to a new country, and not know how to get settled, it may be something related to your visa, academics, career, health or whatsoever. It may even be something that God has settled, but has yet to manifest. In the name that is above all other names, your joy will be full, and you will be intoxicated with it in Jesus name.
Who is the giver of joy: You may be wondering how you can get this joy, to the stage of been intoxicated with it. Jesus is the giver of joy. He is the source, and He gives it freely to those who seek Him. Romans 15:13 states, May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
You will realise that Jesus Christ spent His time going around talking to different people at different times. In the process of talking, He gave joy to many through healing and miracles God wants your joy to be full by solving all your issues so that you will have a peace of mind. Prov. 17:22 – A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Effect of Joy in a blessed man: Joy can make a man to start to behave in such a way that everybody would begin to wonder what exactly is making them to act strangely. In Matthew 9:27-31, the two blind men went to Jesus and said, son of David, have mercy on us. When Jesus Christ approached and made them see through the power of His words, He told them to go home, but guess what, these men went straight to the towns and cities, and began to show forth happiness. They celebrated like never before. I am sure people would be thinking they needed psychiatric treatment the way they rejoiced. This is what I call intoxication. The joy threw them around, because they never thought they would ever see again in their live, so, their joy became full than they can ever imagine.
In the text we read, 2 King 4: 8-37, the Shunamite woman had all the happiness in this world. She was wealthy, very notable and, probably a property tycoon. Even though, she dwelt amongst her own people, owned her own house, provided food for others, regarded her husband and ran a charity, yet, something was missing, she had no son. But when God was ready to fill her cup with joy, the Lord sent Prophet Elisha to dwell in her household, and a joyful message was delivered unto her. Elisha said, this time next year you shall embrace a son, which means her joy will overflow. Although, she did not understand how it was going to happen, but the scripture says in verse 17, then the woman conceived and she bore a son, when the appointed time has come for which Elisha has spoken concerning. Your appointed time is here in Jesus name.

When you overcome what everybody has thought is impossible, you become intoxicated with joy. In 1 Samuel 17:48-50, David prevailed over the uncircumcised Philistine Goliath using a sling and a stone to strike him on the forehead, the Goliath fell with his face down. David stood over the dead Goliath, full of joy and probably dancing, cut his head and took his head with him to Jerusalem; the same people that thought he was a boy and a spectator were overwhelmed with joy. Every mouth that has declared negativity to you will lose their speech when they hear about how the Lord has blessed you with all manners of joy in Jesus name. When you are intoxicated with joy, everybody will hear your testimony and they will marvel. I am not sure if you have ever received a surprise package from the Lord before, but I can guarantee you, when the news of your breakthrough gets to the city, people will be amazed, and would serve your God in Jesus name.
In Acts 9:36-42, there was a woman named Tabitha, which is translated Dorcas – She performed greatly amongst friends and widows, gave alms and charity. One day, she became sick and died from her sickness. The people she had helped cried out to everyone for help. In the end, Peter came, he prayed and God answered. When this woman was brought back to life, the people became intoxicated, and went around publicising the good news. Your friend would share your good news in Jesus name.
For you to partake in this joy, you must submit your life and tell Him I am ready to follow you. You are empty without Him. Life is meaningless. So if you are looking for joy, please replace your old life with a new one. You need the Holy Spirit to come into your life, when you accept Him into your life, your cup will overflow. So brethren consider your stand before Him today, and, see how you can start to enjoy and live a joyful life. God bless.

The Lord Shall Fight For You and You Shall Hold Your Peace

Pastor (Mrs) Anthonia OBAFAIYE – –
The theme of the month of October is Great and Sweet victories as spoken by God through His prophet.
The Bk of Psalm 118: 16-17 declares to us that ‘the right hand of Lord is exalted, the right hand of The Lord doeth valiantly.
I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord.
Yet again the Bible says in Rom. 8:31 ‘What shall we then say to theses things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
True victories only come from God and if He declares that this month and from now on it is Great and sweet victories then believe it, for He will do it in Jesus name.

He is Jehovah The man of war, God has never lost a battle, and He will never lose in Jesus name. He is the consuming fire, no one goes to battle with Him lives to tell the story.
As long as we are on the Lord’s side it is an error for us to lose or fail in this life. He says we will hold our peace whilst He fight for us, you do not need to defend yourself, you won’t need to lift a finger in this battle for He says I The Lord will fight for you and you shall have great and sweet victories in Jesus name.

Brethren we are living in this world but not living as the world is living. For the Bible says even though we are living in this world, we are not of this world. The world can never be our friend neither will it love us for it hath not the love of the Father. For it hated Jesus first before us. The Bible says friendship with the world is enmity with God. In the Bk of John 16:33 Jesus said in this world we shall have tribulations, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.

What am I trying to say, this world is a battlefield, we as children of God are constantly fighting a battle, even when we sleep, some people will say peace at last, we are still fighting battles, if only The Lord would open our spiritual eyes for us to see forces & spirits at work not wanting us to wake up, I am sure some people will become afraid of sleeping, but Brethren the Bible says even though we are fighting battles, the battles are already won even before we start, for the Bible says in the Bk of Roms.8:37 ‘that nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus that loved us.

You are here today and you see yourself between the devil and the Red Sea, you look around you and you feel trapped as if you have come to a dead end. I perceive in my spirit a word from The Lord to you today, and it says Fear not for I will deliver you, for the enemies you see today you will see them no more in Jesus name.

Do you know that every problem in the form of a challenge to us has an expiring date. It is not over until The Lord says it is over and when He says it is over it is victory time, it is party time and so shall it be in Jesus name.

Our main Bible reading will be taken from the Bk of Exo. 14:1-31

The children of Israel had just made their exist from Egypt, and for a lot of them I perceive they must have been saying peace at last, deliverance at last, Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. You are Gracious, you are wonderful, you are awesome, you are too much, God no one can be compared to you, until they looked behind in verse 10 of Exodus 14 and saw the same enemies they had been delivered from pursuing and marching towards them to capture them and in front them the great Red sea, they were trapped.

As soon as it dawned on them what was going on they became sore afraid and they cried unto The Lord. I thought they would have stopped there and watch & wait to see what God will do, but no they turned it to abuse, they began to abuse the anointed of The Lord Moses, they said ‘is it because we have no graves in Egypt that you have brought us here to die in the wilderness? Did we not tell you to leave us alone in Egypt to serve the Egyptians, for it would have been better for us than to come and die in the wilderness.

They began to blasphemy the name of The Lord God, in their moment of distress they forgot so easily how good God had been to them, the miracles and great signs he performed in Egypt that led to their deliverance. They forgot so easily how God had paid their wages of 450 yrs in one night. How The Lord restored all they had lost in slavery and bondage.

The Lord will help us in Jesus name, for some of us fall victim to the same things the children of Israel did.

They say desperate times calls for desperate measures and Moses cried unto The Lord, and God responded by saying ‘why are you crying to me, speak to the children of Israel that they go forward, I am very sure children of Israel would have said to Moses ‘move where, oh so you want us to commit suicide by Jumping into the Red Sea.

Brethren with God it is forward ever and backwards never, with him we go higher and higher, from Glory to glory, from grace to grace, from strength to strength in Jesus name.
The Bible says in Luke 9:62 ‘whosoever puts his hand on the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom of God’.

God instructed Moses as to what to do, He told him to lift up his rod, and stretch out his hand over the sea and divide it, and the children of Israel will go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

The Bible makes us to understand that God caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land and the waters were divided and the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground like a highway, and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand and on their left, that is what I call great victory Brethren, no man can do this except God, no scientist has been able to prove how this happened because there is no searching to the understanding of The Lord. You can not study God as a case study, God can not be read as a degree. The Bible says we know in part, we prophesy in part, Brethren we will not know everything about God until we see Him in Glory and become like Him.

Then the children of Israel crossed over, their enemies made a terrible mistake for they pursued them with everything they had, Pharaoh came out with all his riders, his horse and chariots because God hardened his heart, God wanted to display his Glory through Pharaoh and his whole army (this really happened because in the Bk of Joshua 2: 9-10 Rehab in the city of Jericho said to the spies that God sent to spy the land ‘I know that The Lord hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how The Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt.) Even a heathen lady that did not know God like the children Israel did believed in Him more.

The Bible made us to understand that the Red Sea was an escape route for the children of Israel from their enemies but it became a death trap for their enemies (Pharaoh, his riders, his chariots and his horses) for they all drowned in the Red Sea when The Lord commanded Moses to stretch his hands over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots and upon their horsemen.

The Bible tells us that the children of Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore, the enemies they saw today, they saw them no more. This is what I call sweet victory and it made them sing a new song and dance a new dance to the Glory of God in the Bk of Exo. 15:1 ‘I will sing unto The Lord, for He hath triumphed gloriously the horse and his riders hath he thrown into the sea.

Let somebody shout Alleluia.

May The Lord God Almighty cause us to sing new songs and dance new dance steps of great and sweet victories to His Glory in Jesus name.

May He cause us to laugh and make everyone that hear us laugh, laugh with us in Jesus name.

God Is About To Do A New Thing In Your Life

By Minister Aderemi Adelugba –
(Text: John 9: 1-18)
The scripture states in Exodus 34:10 – Then the Lord replied, “Listen, I am making a covenant with you in the presence of all your people. I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord – the awesome power I will display for you (NLT).
God is about to do something new that you have never seen or imagined in your life. The almighty is about to grant you favour of the highest order. You may be saying where else could I go next? After all, I have achieved all I could possibly achieve. The Lord is saying to you, the peak you have reached today, will be nothing to what the Lord will do for you tomorrow. May be you don’t know how to make a start in your career, finance, relationship and marriage; the Lord will take you to the stage of wonder and overflow in Jesus name. God is about to do a new thing that eyes have not seen, nor ears have heard nor hath entered into the heart of any man in Jesus name. He will give you freedom and boldness, and you will enter into your abundance and promotion in Jesus name.
God can do absolutely everything, and nothing is difficult for Him to do. There are so many examples of miracles God performed in the bible, which was never performed anywhere before. In 2 King 6:1-7, Elisha went with the sons of the prophets to the Jordan, in the process of cutting the materials required to rebuild where they live, the axe head fell into the water, this axe was borrowed and they needed to return it back. But the Lord did an amazing thing which had never happened before. He changed the laws of floatation and, the iron did swim. That was how the axe head was recovered. I don’t really know what your own problems are, but God is in it. He solved the problems for the sons of the prophets miraculously; He will solve yours miraculously in Jesus name. You may have said to yourself, I am just going to pack it all up and go. God says; don’t do that, stay and you will eat the best of the land.
In Luke 5:1-11, Peter was out fishing all night, and caught nothing, he was in the company of other fishermen, and they were already washing their nets when Jesus went to borrow his boat. When Jesus was done speaking using his boat, He had a conversation with Simon Peter, and told him to launch out into the deep and let down his nets for a big catch, He told Peter, I am the one who controls the fishes in the ocean. Peter wasn’t an apostle at the time. He had no faith, but God held him over with His faith. This day something powerful happened in Peter’s life. It was an extra-ordinary thing. God restored and overwhelmed him with great harvest. Even though Peter was a professional fisherman, he knew what time of day he could go and catch fishes. But Jesus proved him wrong. The call of God is always beyond our grasps. He wants to do a new thing, would you allow Him to start?
In our text, John 9:1-18 – There was a blind man in this story. The man did not call out to Jesus at all. The man was just seating down quietly. In some other instances of healing, the people healed had to cry out, for example, the leper cried out and received healed. The army captain cried out and God healed his daughter. In the case of this blind man, Jesus decided to do a new thing using a different approach to reach out to him.
The message for you today is; Even when you have lost hope; God will reach out to you: John 9:1 states, and as Jesus passed by… This suggests to us that Jesus was on another mission. He had every right not to want to look at anyone on his way out, following the event that took place at the latter part of John 8, where the people were going to stone him. It was after this event that he was passing by and saw the man born blind. The man did not show any sign of faith, but Jesus went to him and opened his eyes. Your case is not difficult for the creator of the heavens and the earth – Kabiyesi. This man blinded from birth, never saw a flower, never experienced joy, never seen what he was been fed with. Jesus just went to him, made mud and made him see. The man was able to see for the first time in his life. Some of you may think you have reached your limits, you don’t know what to do again, and your job applications and project proposals have all been turned down. The Lord will grant unto you sweet victory in Jesus name. You will live in the house of your dream. You will become an employer of labour in Jesus name.
Anyone who would enjoy a new thing would stop analysing God: The disciples were so amazed when they saw the blind man. They were adding two and two together to determine what exactly went wrong. In other words, don’t let your presuppositions deflect the plan of God for your life. Some people will try to make sense of what is going on in your life, but God will surprise them before any conclusion is drawn in their minds in Jesus name. God knows what you are going through; He will put the right strategies together to resolve it with an amazing outcome in Jesus name. Eph 3:20. God is able to give exceedingly abundantly beyond everything you are thinking. If you have never accomplished a dream before, God is starting a new thing for you.
Anyone who would enjoy a new thing would not doubt God’s ability: Don’t start doubting God like Zacharias did in Luke 1:13–20. The angel of the Lord said to Zacharias, do not worry for the Lord will do a new thing, and your wife would bear a son, even at old age. Age is immaterial to God, when He decides to make you fruitful; He will do it without consultation with nobody. In 2 King 4: 8-17, Gehazi said to his master, verily, verily, the Shunammite woman has no son, and her husband is old – the medical report for the woman does not look good, and Elisha said to her, about this season, according to the time of life, thou shall embrace a son. Even thou the woman did not believe, God sealed it and was established. Anything impossible in your life would become possible in Jesus name.
You must recognise that certain things must happen for God to be glorified: In the issue of the blind man, the disciples asked the Lord who sinned… Jesus responded no one sinned. Brethren, Jesus understands your bio data. He knows your medical history, and He will walk into it today in Jesus name. Certain things would have to happen in life, for Christ to give you the expected result. This man never saw any joy, but when He met Jesus his joy abounded. New position means new condition. Your incarceration is positional and is temporary. Before we believed in Jesus, we were slaves unto sin. But then, Jesus redeemed us unto himself, and He gave a quit notice to sin, therefore, everything can now be done in our life and we have won all battles with sweet victories.
If new things must happen to you, you must allow Christ to rule in your life: Apostle Paul states in Phil 3:7-8 – But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. Nothing mattered to Paul after the encounter he had with the Lord. He did not care about his intellectual properties, his language abilities did not matter anymore, and his writing skill was used for the things of the Lord. All he wanted to do was to live and live for God alone. If you don’t allow the Lord to rule your life, it would be impossible to receive a new thing from the Him. The man born blind had his position renewed, he became a new man, and He declared and shared his testimonies to the people. He said you guys may call him anything you like, but to me, once I was blind, now I can see, I call Him my Prophet and Messiah.
The question for you today, is there anything dominating your life right now? Are you locked into a way of thinking that leadeth into darkness? Please examine yourself and begin to pray so that God can visit, and, do unto you that which is marvellous, which no eyes have seen, nor entered into the heart of any man.

You Are Programmed For Victory

By Pastor Aderemi Adelugba –

Brethren, God has programmed your life the same way a computer is programmed. He has loaded your life with software for victory. He has granted you victory in all areas of life. You may not understand it, but your mind is renewed and conditioned for greatness in Jesus name. Now the question is whether you are prepared to activate the programmes the Lord has installed into your life.
The meaning of programme is to comprehensively install a process that can change a particular formulation to an executable activity. The reason for programming is to ensure a set of instruction will perform a specific task when activated. In other word, if the programme is not activated, the task will not run. Likewise, if Christians fail to recognise the fact that they are a finished product, they will continue to work and operate in mediocrity and defeat. I pray that you will live to fulfill the plan of God in Jesus name. Jeremiah 29:11 say, for I know the thoughts that I think towards you, the thought of peace, and not of evil and that to give you an expected end.
God has already crowned and installed you with every blessing. All you have to do is to go ahead and activate the programmes of God for your life. Start acting out His anointing upon your life. He wants you to walk in your victory, healing, wealth and joy. You need to begin to speak like a blessed man and woman. You are a package of blessing, and not a failure.
The scripture says in Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. This scripture is not just talking of what God can do, it is a declaration and appreciation of what the Lord has already done. Paul recognised all the possible obstacles that God had removed from us. You have received everything in the spiritual, so start acting it out. He did not put failure or evil in your way. He planted joy and favour instead. He granted you goodness and mercies. God had already done all these things, and all your battles have been won in the heavenly places.
The scripture also states in 3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. It is a declaration. He knew the end of the matter from the beginning. Therefore, your prosperity and health is not negotiable. Some of us did not know we would be in here today, but God programmed it even before the start of ages. For example, a little over ten years ago, as I sat down in my living room listening to the news, the Sky News reported that some part of the city of York was badly flooded. Then, I was concerned about what the inhabitants of the city were experiencing. Many years after this occurrence, God worked it out that; we would need to move to York. It was in the programme of God for us to move to the same city I wondered about. You may not be too sure of the reason why you are in this city today, but God says, you are here for a purpose, and, He will programme you for success and victory in this land, and so shall it be in Jesus name.
The scripture also says in 1 Corinthians 2:9-10: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for hem that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
The scripture teaches us to be rest assured that we have been endowed with everything we require to succeed in life. If you have been successful in so many areas of life, be rest assured that the best is yet to come. This month of October, your outdated programme will be updated in Jesus name. From today onward, you will never be the same again in Jesus name. Your life will listen to the command of God’s programme in Jesus name.
Jesus stated that you are what you believe, therefore, if you believe that God has worked out your turn around, and He has said to you that you are more than a conqueror, what exactly are you wondering about? He has programmed you, equipped you and renewed you like an eagle. You will never be defeated in Jesus name.
God’s desire for you is that, you become aware of all the power and programme of God. God said, let the weak says, I am strong, let the poor says, I am rich and I am well able. Begin to programme that into your life. Brethren, you are who God says you are. If your bank account says you are poor, begin to declare that you are wealthy in Jesus name, and the one who has programmed you, and, giveth the power to make wealth would surprise you in Jesus name. If you have problem with your health, you need to start declaring that I am healed and whole in Jesus name.
For God’s programme to be activated in your life, you must be sensitive and be ready to stand for God. For example, it is possible for the gates to be shut without realising it. It is possible to have the feeling that you have come to the bus stop of life. You are not alone. God is with you at all times. It happened to the Israelites. In Joshua 6:1 – ‘Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out; and none came in. But when you hearken to God, the walls of Jericho will fall flat for you, and, you will be able to possess your possession in Jesus name.
There might have been some issues of life threatening your future; the Lord will remove all obstacles in Jesus name. An obstacle for defeat was put in the way of the Israelites through the sin of Achan, because he took an accursed thing. Initially, it appeared as if the Israelites would lose the battle, but when the revealing power of the Lord came upon them, they destroyed Ai. I pray that whatever that may be clouding your eyes, which is making it impossible for the programme of God to be activated in your life, will be removed today in Jesus name.
God is able to turn defeat into victory – (Joshua 7: 1-3). Victory is a term synonymous to success. Everyone wants victory in life, an athlete desire to become champion and break records, but God has to have his hands in their programme. Things don’t just happen by accident. Esther became a queen just because God had already written it into her destiny.
Delay is not a denial: The fact that the Israelite withdrawn from the battle front when the solders from Ai struck them does not mean they lost confidence. It was an opportunity for them to get back to God, so they could be re-built and re-programmed. Likewise, Christians go through rough patches, and it would seem as if we would never be able to come out at the other end, God is in control. Remember, you are a God finished product, and His products can never be faulty or disappointed. You will come out of every issues of life in good time in Jesus name.
In the book of 2 Kings 18:1, Hezekiah, the king of Judah removed the high places and broke all images and groves. The scripture stated that he trusted in the Lord God of Israel that after him, there was no one like him. … And the Lord was with him; and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not……Basically, Hezekiah rebelled against Sennacherib, and Sennacherib continued to push and oppress him. But when God was ready, He turned the tide around and 180,000 of Sennacherib soldiers were struck to dead by the angel of the Lord, and, Senacherib himself was killed by his own sons. I declare that every hand of oppression against you and your family shall bow to the programme of God in your life, and you will be victorious in Jesus name.
God is able to activate the dormant programme in your life: It may well be that the programme of God is dormant in your life, then you will need to pray, and God will re-activate it. When the oppression was too much for Hezekiah, he had to pray, and God heard him. The scripture states in 2 King 19:7 – Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land… May be you are thinking to yourself, how will God deliver me today? How will I come out of all these problems? God is sending a blast to the camp of your enemies now, and you will be victorious in Jesus name.
Naaman was a warrior who struggled with leprosy, and when God was ready to deliver him out of the battle of sickness, He activated His healing programme in his life. You case is not impossible in the hand of the Lord (2 King 5). The scripture states, Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake – Isaiah 54:15.
Brethren, get ready to update the programmes of heaven for your life. Go back to the source if you feel your programme is expired or dormant. The Lord will bless your life in Jesus name.
