Assurance by Glorifying God, by Brother Yomi Sanusi

Assurance by Glorifying God, by Brother Yomi Sanusi

John 14.13-14: “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.”

Whilst reflecting further on John 14.13-14 for this month let us consider the background to God’s claims, promises and assurances to us in those verses of scripture.

At the time of this promise, Jesus had a long relationship, meant to be permanent, with his twelve disciples. They had already spent more than three years together. He had been teaching them, taking care of them and answering their questions. They had no doubt he was the Messiah, The Son of God, The Anointed One, and The Lamb of God that would be slaughtered to take away the sin of the world. But they were yet unsure of all the details. The gift of the Holy Spirit is given by God to an individual so as to give liberty to the individual, the church and the society at large.
First of all, it tends to benefit the recipient, then spills over to the church and then the society as it were.
Prov 18 vs 16 says a man’s gift will make room for him and bringeth him before great men (Access to important people).
As God permits we shall be considering the various gifts of the Holy Spirit that God endowed us with so as to live a life of total liberty from all forms of trials, challenges and such likes, as Jesus Christ did when He came in the human form. Read More

My Help Is On The Way, by Pastor Victor Olobaniyi

My Help Is On The Way, by Pastor Victor Olobaniyi

Text : Job 14 vs 7-9; Isaiah 55 vs 10-13; John 11 vs 38-40.
In the book of Job, the Bible makes us understand that there is still hope for a tree, even though it be cut down as long as the root is still in the ground, at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a plant.

That is no, matter how hopeless your situation may look like at the scent of the word of God which cannot fail, it will bounce back to life again in Jesus name.

The book of Isaiah 55 vs 10-13 establishes that the word of God that goeth forth out of His mouth, cannot return to Him void as it has to accomplish that in which He has sent it. Read More
